Created in 1981, Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is one of the most beautiful and desired destinations in Brazil. As you walk through the dunes, a paradise formed by the freshwater lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses is revealed. Just take the BR-135, MA-402 (passing through the cities of Bacabeira; Rosário – where you can stop at one of the many establishments on the side of the highway to taste juçara or açaí as it is known in other parts of the country -; Axixá and Morros) and stretch of the MA-225 until reaching the most famous entrance door of Lençóis.
